PRIVATE PARTIES IN THE 'SECRET ROOM'

What better way to give your party the novelty factor than your very own private close up magician (or table magician). Parties can be very simple small house parties to large extravagant affairs with chocolate fountains, casino tables and dancing midgets. The best way to inject magic in to your party will depend on the the type of party you're having and also the number of guests. For up to 20-80 guests (most parties), Alan has 2 options.

20-80 Guests Option 1

Have Alan mix and mingle with your guests, performing for small groups at a time with his interactive magic. It's great. It really is.

20-80 Guests Option 2

Alan has come up with a new unique way of making your party different, fun and exciting - a real talking point for months to come . You will need to set up one room that isn't been used for the party (often smaller the better) and Alan invites about 6-12 people (depending on the number of guests at your party) in at a time. You don't even have to tell them you have a magician which creates an extra element. They have no idea whats about to happen to them - some slightly nervous faces at first, but very exciting.

Alan performs his show for them - this usually lasts around 10/15 mins. This magic is much better than the usual and predictable mix and mingle style because there are more possibilities of performing better magical effects with less of the natural problems to contend with such as guests joining in half way through a trick (and them turning away to greet them), waiters bringing food, people holding drinks etc etc. The whole experience of going in to watch a show is much more exciting.

After the performance he then asks them to re-join the party BUT HERE'S THE BEST PART - if the show is a secret he'll ask them NOT to tell anyone else what happens in the room so as not to spoil the surprise for the other guests. This helps create a real buzz at the party with people wanting to know what's going on in the secret room...

More than 80 guests?

If you are having more than around 80 or so guests then the secret room might not be the best idea - probably best to have the walkaround magic instead. Or be ruthless and don't invite the people you don't really want there anyway.

Less than 20 guests?

In this case often the best approach is a show for everyone at the same time. A 30-40 min show straight through with great magic and plenty of audience interaction. Sleight of hand tricks, direct mind reading, comedy and a few extra suprises.

"Dear Alan, I regret that I didn't manage to thank in person for your absolutely mesmerizing performances at Jenny's party last night. Our guests were absolutely amazed and thrilled by your magic and wit. The secret room worked particularly well! It contributed to a very memorable evening for us. Thanks again and really look forward to seeing you again sometime. Best wishes" John Rayner, Bradford

"Alan. Just a short note to say what a fab performances you put in at High Leases Farm on Sunday…Our Sitting Room was indeed the Secret Room for the afternoon and for all of our 100+ guests and friends! The reaction after each of your sessions was electric, for youths and oldies like me alike…..damned funny too! The Party was going well anyway…BUT you just added that extra special ingredient of surprise, entertainment and bewilderment! We all loved it…indeed; one of my guests (my female personal trainer) has just recommended you to one of her clients for her wedding, after obtaining your website address from me today. ALAN…..thank you for making the journey to deepest Swaledale and making our Summer Party such a great HIT! BRAVO!" Michael Hold, Sales Director, Airstream Europe Ltd
