Got Talent Magicians

America’s Got Talent, Britain’s Got Talent, Magicians Got Talent. On the Got Talent shows over the last 20 years there must have been around 1000 Got Talent magicians who have auditioned. From the very, very bad to the best in the world. They are, without doubt, of the biggest hits on the show and it’s created a massive platform for magicians around the world.

Here are, in my opinion, 10 of the best ‘Got Talent’ magicians of all time. I should mention, that this these are just my opinion and my taste. Also, there are lots of great performances that I enjoyed, but just not in the top 10.

I should also mention, that me and my wife have been on Britain’s Got Talent that we filmed in the Lowry in Manchester and I won’t include either of those performances in my top 10. However, to save you looking it up, here it is for you to enjoy 🙂

10) Ben Hart

What I love about Ben’s performance is that it’s doesn’t feed into the usual Got Talent formula. Ben is a pure magic artist and it’s very apparent that he stuck to his guns and performed in the way he wanted to. I’m sure there was certain comprises made, but if you see Ben live, his performance style is very much the same.

9) Dom Chambers

This is such a good spot. This beer production routine has taken him all over the world and is still one of my favourite performances in magic.

8) Piff The Magic Dragon

Piff, like most on this list, isn’t a one of the generic Got Talent magicians that usually appear on the show. Completely unique. He made is first impact on Penn & Teller: Fool Us, but it was this appearance on AGT that really propelled his career. He also has a show on the Las Vegas strip largely helped by this appearance.

7) Young & Strange

This is a new one (2026) from America’s Got Talent. What I love about Young & Strange is there ability to make illusions entertaining and modern. In this spot, they bring the illusion to the desk and perform a stage illusion close up, There’s also a great punchline at the end.

6) Darcy Oake

Shortly before Darcy’s appearance, magicians weren’t doing that well on Got Talent. Simon Cowell and co had decided they didn’t like magicians, but over a few years that attitude changed. Darcy made a huge impact and is still one of the best ever Got Talent magicians.

5) Lea Kyle

I’m not even 100% sure that Lea Kyle would consider herself as one of the Got Talent magicians as she performs only one trick. The quick change. I’m wondering if this is almost a genre of it’s own. However, she is undoubtedly the best in the world at this and has, and continues to, change the game in the world of quick change.

4) Eden Choi

Most magicians on Got Talent come up with an act to interact with the judges at the table. Here you see Eden Choi performing his incredible manipulation act on stage. You also see the undeniable effect it has on the audience. Pure class.

3) Jack Rhodes

Jack’s performances on Got Talent, like all the magicians on this list, are very unique. A lot of magicians on the show have a habit of doing a lot of process before anything happens and are inevitably, quite dull to watch. He took some big risks during these performances and it paid off. He was funny with great magic. He came second to a singer in the final.

2) Eric Chien

Like our number 1, Shin Lim (sorry if I spoilt that for you), Eric is one of the best in the world at this type of magic. World class magic on a big stage like this is great to see. It just shows that the public and the judges can appreciate the type of magic that us magicians like too.

1) Shin Lim

No one has beaten Shin Lim’s spot and impact on magic. He’s still (as of 2026) still a headliner on the Las Vegas strip which is largely down to his impact on America’s Got Talent.
